Public Signal Data / Integrations

Integrations

Every way to call an actor

Actors run on the Apify platform, which means one integration surface for all six: REST, official Python and JavaScript clients, schedules with webhooks, no-code connectors, and MCP for AI agents.

Plain REST

The synchronous endpoint is the workhorse: send the input JSON, get the dataset rows in the same response. Datasets can also be exported as CSV, Excel, HTML or RSS by changing the format parameter.

REST endpoints
# Synchronous: run + results in one call (best for tools/agents)
POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/splendorous_astrolabe_xs9~polymarket-whale-trades\
     /run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<APIFY_TOKEN>

# Async: start a run, poll, then read the dataset
POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/splendorous_astrolabe_xs9~polymarket-whale-trades/runs?token=…
GET  https://api.apify.com/v2/actor-runs/<RUN_ID>?token=…
GET  https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/<DATASET_ID>/items?format=json
# format also accepts: csv, xlsx, html, rss

Python

pip install apify-client
from apify_client import ApifyClient

client = ApifyClient("<APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("splendorous_astrolabe_xs9/polymarket-whale-trades").call(
    run_input={
  "min_usd": 5000,
  "lookback_hours": 24,
  "market_slug": "",
  "max_trades": 1000
}
)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)

JavaScript / TypeScript

npm i apify-client
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });
const run = await client.actor('splendorous_astrolabe_xs9/polymarket-whale-trades').call({
    min_usd: 5000, lookback_hours: 24
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();

MCP — AI agents

The Apify MCP server turns any actor into a typed tool for Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients. Full walkthrough with OpenAI/Anthropic/LangChain examples on the AI agents page.

mcp config (single actor)
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "public-signal": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?actors=splendorous_astrolabe_xs9/polymarket-whale-trades",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>"
      }
    }
  }
}

No-code: Zapier, Make, n8n

Apify ships official connectors for Zapier, Make and n8n: trigger a Zap/scenario when a run finishes, or start runs from your automation. Combined with schedules, a complete filings-to-CRM pipeline needs zero code — see the lead-gen reference pipeline.

Schedules & webhooks

Any actor can run on a cron schedule in Apify Console. Attach a webhook and each successful run pushes its results onward automatically:

webhook setup
# In Apify Console → actor → Integrations → Webhooks:
Event:   Run succeeded
URL:     https://your-endpoint.example/hook   (or Slack/Zapier/Make/n8n)
Payload: includes defaultDatasetId → fetch items and route them

Authentication & cost control

  • One token for everything: apify.com → Settings → API & Integrations.
  • Pay-per-event billing draws from your usage credit; the free plan includes $5/month.
  • Set a memory/timeout cap per run, and a spending limit on your account, to bound worst-case cost — useful when autonomous agents hold the trigger.

Pick an actor and make the first call

Each actor page has copy-paste curl, Python and MCP snippets pre-filled with its real input schema.
